Carafe

I purchased this cute carafe and glass set at Cost Plus World Market the other day. It comes in a wicker basket with circle place holders for the cups. It will make a fun, convenient, and portable option for drinks this summer. Perfect for entertaining! I plan when it's not in use, using it as a flower vase or as some sort of a centerpiece.

It was a warm day today. Good weather for grilling so I threw some burgers and hot dogs on the grill. Nice end to the weekend. From tomorrow on I will have a jam packed but exciting week ahead of me! I bought a carafe and glass set at Cost Plus World Market today. It will be useful for summer time that's for sure.

Not So Pretty In Pink

Got this cute little dress at a privately own clothing store called Pretty In Pink. There's a zipper in the front and the back around the bra line is lace. Great buy for only $5 I must say. My mirror is kinda dirty so these pictures won't be very clear, sorry.

Doughnut Date

We haven't had a Krispy Kreme in our area for a while now. We used to have a few and they closed down years ago. One just opened up not to far from us so we hopped in the car, waited twenty some odd minutes in line, and left with a dozen yummy treats. Also went to Fuddruckers where the mac n cheese wins me over every time! Glorious! We also hit up the mall and I got a cute dress for $5. I will post that on here next!

Veggie Pasta

Such a good dinner tonight. I had an open jar of marinara sauce and some orecchiette pasta that needed to needed to be used up.. So I sauteed some celery, bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms with a spoonful of red pepper flakes in a pan. Added the leftover marinara and there I had a flavorful filling meal right before my eyes. Easy peasy.

I was very excited to see that my zucchini decided to come out of hiding and sprouted up out of the soil today! They weren't there yesterday so it got me all giddy inside to see they showed up today. Its been exactly a week since they were planted, zucchini always grows fast. The soil for my wax beans is breaking so I assume I will see them pop up next. My patio smells delicious because of these orange blossoms. I am savoring the smell because I will only have it for about a week until they start to form the oranges. I have to pick the last of the winters harvest to make room for my new babies. Oh the joy of gardening!

Doughnuts & Ducks

Today after work, my friend Gina and I went to get doughnuts. I got the "Texas" doughnut. It was a very big doughnut and I almost finished the whole thing but parts of the inside were not fully cooked. That was a bummer. But we had a nice pleasant day in the park hanging out with the duckies. Please don't mind the camera spots, the camera lens on my phone is damaged and I didn't have my Nikon with me.

Panko

Tonight I made panko crusted tilapia, pearl rice cooked with chicken broth and garlic, and a garden salad. I used a Tuscan vinaigrette from Trader Joes to dress my salad. It was a very fresh and healthy meal. I love doughnuts far to much so this is a nice way to bring balance back to my diet.
